In short: usecure uLearn is an adaptive security awareness training module. Each user takes a 15-minute, 36-question gap analysis across 12 security areas, then Auto Enrol builds a personal learning path of bite-sized lessons, weakest topics first, with automatic reminders, a custom course builder, an end-user portal and scheduled reports for managers.
What uLearn does differently
Most organisations start security awareness training with a single annual course. People who already understand phishing and passwords sit through it anyway, while people who struggle get the same content as everyone else and forget it within weeks.
uLearn takes the opposite approach. It measures each person first, then gives them only the training they need, spread over time in short interactive modules. The result is less wasted time for confident staff and more attention for the topics and people where risk is highest. It is usecure's answer to the question every IT manager asks: how do I keep training going all year without running it myself?
uLearn sits inside the usecure platform alongside uPhish, so training and simulated phishing feed each other.
How uLearn works, step by step
- Directory sync: users and groups are synced from Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and new starters are picked up automatically
- Gap analysis: each person answers a short assessment, which usecure describes as 15 minutes and 36 questions across 12 security areas. The answers form a personal risk profile
- Auto Enrol: uLearn turns that profile into a training journey and releases bite-sized lessons at the interval you choose, starting with each person's weakest areas
- Reminders: automated nudges chase anyone who has not started or finished, so the administrator does not have to
- Phishing follow-up: anyone who is caught by a uPhish simulation is enrolled in a relevant micro-lesson straight away
- Reporting: completions, trends, overdue training and risk reduction are reported, with scheduled reports for stakeholders and exports for audits
You stay in control: you can choose which courses are included, adjust categories, override the suggested path and adjust difficulty and scheduling. Auto Enrol is optional, so you can still run manual campaigns or assign standalone courses. You can also skip the gap analysis and enrol people into a predefined path, although usecure says the gap analysis is needed for fully personalised learning.
Content, languages and your own courses
usecure's plan page lists a library of more than 200 courses, with new courses added monthly. Lessons are short, interactive and designed to fit between real work, and the gap analysis that decides who sees what covers 12 security areas. The uLearn page lists more than 15 languages and regional variants, which helps organisations with staff outside the UK, and training adapts to each person's role, risk level and behaviour.
The Custom LMS lets you build your own courses with a drag-and-drop course builder: slides, images and interactive elements such as cards, carousels and annotated images, plus quiz questions with scoring rules and shuffled question and answer order. Custom courses can be assigned to individuals or groups and appear alongside usecure's own training, which makes uLearn useful for internal procedures, such as how your organisation approves supplier bank detail changes.
That combination works well for new-starter security induction: new accounts are enrolled automatically, and your own induction module sits next to the standard content.
The end-user experience
Staff do not need another app to install. The End User Portal gives each person one place to see outstanding courses and policies, their scores, their phishing simulation history and their own risk score. Access can be by a magic link sent to their inbox, a static portal URL or SAML single sign-on with providers such as Microsoft, Google or Okta (admins can make SSO the only way in), and the portal can carry your logo and colours.
That visibility matters for security culture. People can see their own progress, and training feels like personal development rather than surveillance.
uLearn compared with a once-a-year course
| Annual course | usecure uLearn | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Same content for everyone | Gap analysis per person |
| Delivery | One long session | Bite-sized lessons through the year |
| New starters | Wait for the next cycle | Enrolled automatically from day one |
| Chasing | Manual reminders | Automatic reminders |
| Link to phishing tests | Separate, if at all | Failed simulation triggers a lesson |
| Evidence | Completion list | Completion, progress and risk trends |

Licensing and how we help
uLearn is not sold on its own. It is part of the core usecure plan, licensed per user, together with uPhish, uPolicy and uBreach Starter. Pricing depends on user numbers, so ask us for a quote; the licensing detail is on usecure uLearn licensing.
We connect your directory, agree the priority topics with you, build any custom modules for your own procedures and review the results each quarter, chasing the teams that need more attention. Contact us to start with a gap analysis for a pilot group.
How Forever Systems runs your awareness programme
We are vendor-independent. We compare the security awareness and phishing simulation platforms that suit your size, sector, Microsoft 365 licensing and existing security tools, recommend one, then run it for you so training and phishing tests actually happen month after month.
- Baseline phishing simulation to see where you start
- Platform selection and set-up, with single sign-on and automatic user sync from Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace where the platform supports it
- A year-round plan of short training modules, simulated phishing campaigns and policy sign-off, including new-starter induction
- Sector and role content for schools, charities, healthcare, legal, finance, public sector and high-risk roles such as finance teams and help desks
- Reporting for the board, auditors, insurers and Cyber Essentials, showing completion, reporting and click trends
- Joined-up defences: email security, MFA, endpoint protection and dark web monitoring so training is backed by technology

Contact usFrequently asked questions
How long does the uLearn gap analysis take?
usecure describes it as about 15 minutes: 36 questions across 12 security areas. The results decide which lessons each person receives first.
Can we add our own training to uLearn?
Yes. The Custom LMS includes a drag-and-drop course builder with slides, interactive elements and quiz questions. Custom courses can be assigned to individuals or groups and sit alongside usecure's library.
What languages is uLearn available in?
usecure lists more than 15 languages and regional variants for its training content. Tell us which languages your staff need and we will confirm coverage for the courses you plan to use.
Does uLearn enrol new starters automatically?
Yes. With Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace sync, Auto Enrol picks up new accounts and enrols them in training automatically, so new starters are not missed.
